In this series of BlogPosts I'm going to give you a list of albums that I love to listen too, they are all (naturally) in the Vinyl Vault. There are a great many lists of great albums to buy on the internet, and some of these records I have chosen to include on this and other parts of the series are no doubt included on some of the other lists, but I am sure that some, maybe even most wont be.
This series of BlogPosts will have Fortgotten Gems, and Essential Picks, for a selection of shelves in the Vinyl Vault. The Essential Picks will just be a list, whilst I will try and put a comment on each of the Forgotten Gems.
Each listing, whether it is an Essential Pick or a Forgotten Gem, will have a link for you to buy yourself a copy of the album at our preferred online marketplace, Discogs. We do advise you to check the feedback for any seller before purchasing, but our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. These links are not affiliate links and we do not share any information with Discogs about our visitors.
So lets start with the Compliation Album Shelf, and 5 forgotten gems that are hiding within the records. Next, will be the Essential Picks, in a few days time.
These albums are not listen in any particular order, just whatever order I've listened to them in, or pulled them out of the racks.
As Ever, I'll catch you on the flip side!

Classic tracks, performed by classic beloved Brass Bands .... Simply wonderful. One of my (Not So) Guilty Pleasures

Just listen to all 3 records and enjoy some classic performances from Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davies and The Allman Brothers, to name just 3 artists on this set.
The Tube music television programme from the UK, which ran from 1982 to 1987 shining a spotlist on many up and coming artists from the era. On this album, classic performances abound, simple a MUST listen for anyone who remembers the show.
Classic Tracks that are often overlooked in favour of more contemporary tunes. But these tracks should never be forgotten.
Title: One Pound Ninety-Nine (A Music Sampler Of The State Of Things)
Artist: Various Artists

When I bought this album for the princely sum of £1.99 back in 1985 I wasn't expecting too much, I knew one or two of the bands on the track listing, but the rest were a mystery, but for £1.99 well worth the punt back then to introduce me to new bands.
