Let's continue the Soundtracks Shelf, and 10 Forgotten Gems that are hiding within the records.
In this series of BlogPosts I'm going to give you a list of albums that I love to listen too, they are all (naturally) in the Vinyl Vault. There are a great many lists of great albums to buy on the internet, and some of these records I have chosen to include on this and other parts of the series are no doubt included on some of the other lists, but I am sure that some, maybe even most won't be.
This series of BlogPosts will have Forgotten Gems, and Essential Picks, for a selection of shelves in the Vinyl Vault. The Essential Picks will just be a list, whilst I will try and put a comment on each of the Forgotten Gems.
Each listing, whether it is an Essential Pick or a Forgotten Gem, will have a link for you to buy yourself a copy of the album at our preferred online marketplace, Discogs. We do advise you to check the feedback for any seller before purchasing, but our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. These links are not affiliated links and we do not share any information with Discogs about our visitors.
These albums are not listed in any particular order, just whatever order I've listened to them in, or pulled them out of the racks.
As Ever, I'll catch you on the flip side!

Title: Chef (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Artist: Various Artists
Discogs Store Link: Click Here
This film is vastly under-rated, the music is simply fantastic
Title: Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds - The New Generation
Artist: Jeff Wayne
Discogs Store Link: Click Here
If you enjoyed the original War Of The Worlds, Jeff Wayne has tweaked the language and added a few new lines to bring it into current times. I know a lot of people hate on this version of the show, but I don't see why. New Generations is fantastic, There are 2 versions in the wild though, the cast for the BlueRay / DVD is slightly different to the cast for the recording, both are great though.
Title: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Original London Cast)
Artist: Andrew Lloyd Webber And Tim Rice
Discogs Store Link: Click Here
A classic musical, the original London cast ... just enjoy.
I bought this album for one track, Panic At The Disco's version of Bohemian Rhapsody, and that track is the icing on the cake of a fantastic soundtrack. Listening to the whole album again, it is packed from stem to stern with great tracks!
Title: Labyrinth (From The Original Soundtrack Of The Jim Henson Film)
Artist: David Bowie » Trevor Jones
Discogs Store Link: Click Here
The classic film with David Bowie - every track brings back wonderful memories of watching the film for the first time, both on the big screen, and watching the remastered BlueRay for the first time.
Title: Pitch Perfect - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Special Edition)
Artist: Pitch Perfect Cast
Discogs Store Link: Click Here
I could have picked any of the soundtracks for any of the 3 films to list here, but the first album seemed like the right way to go. Amazing versions of classic tracks.
Nostalgia Alert!: some classic TV themes from classic TV shows from around the world
The classic Soundtrack / Concept album ... having been lucky enough to see the stage show of Tommy, in the last few years, I can tell you seeing the show brings a whole new dimension to the album.
I've always been a fan of West Side Story, when I saw this edition in a charity shop I just had to have it. After all, I have long been a huge fan of Jose Carreras.
