    • Officially, June 2015, for Beartown Radio, sadly the station is no longer on the air.

    • Unofficially, The Vinyl Vault was an ocassional feature in my morning show on 6Towns Radio, in 2014.

  8. Best Crate Digging Find
    • What does "BEST" mean? it is very subjective. Do you mean best quality?, A rare find maybe?, a record that bas been on the wanted list for a long time?
I've had records from crate diving that fit into each of those categories, but to me, the "Best Crate Diving Find" is something unexpected, that has been found in a £ / $ / € xx.xx for 3 / 5 / 10 bin. I regularly dive in these bins, looking for a forgotten gem, a new (to me) artist or something that just catches my eye.

  9. Favourite Record Shop
    • This is a very hard category to name just one shop and to be honest with you, I couldn't. So below are my favourite stores to visit nationwide. Of course, I havn't managed to visit every Independant Record Store across the UK, let alone many in other parts of the world, so this list will no doubt change over time. As with every other list, it is not in any particular order.

      • The Record Den, Llandudno

      • Strand Records, Longton, Stoke on Trent

      • Rubber Soul Records, Stoke on Trent

      • Action Records, Preston

      • Minster Records, Beverley, Hull

Of course, I always recommend that you check out your local Independant Record Store, where ever you are in the country. But if you can't or there is no Independant Record Store locally to you, Discogs is full of independant record sellers, worldwide that will post records to you. I have used the Discogs marketplace many times, with extremely positive experiences, but take note of the feedback left for sellers.

  10. Recommended Discogs Sellers
    • How can I answer this? Again this is a hard category for me as I havn't shopped with every seller, so I'm not going to recommend any sellers. I will however give some advice on choosing sellers.

      • Before you order, ensure that the seller actually has stock on hand, especially if you are buying a new, sealed record. I made the mistake once of not doing this, and the seller cancelled the order as it was not currently available from his wholesaler, I must say though that sellers who "Dropship" are in the minority.

      • Look at the sellers rating, and reviews, a good seller, will have a lot of positive feedback and ratings. Check for bad ratings, and challenges to them, if the reasoning that they are disputing feels genuine, go with your gut.

      • Read the item description carefully, especially the condition as these are again subjective, unless the condition is MINT, or NEW SEALED always expect the listed condition to be at the lower end of the grade listed

      • If you are looking for a specific Matrix number for an item, ALWAYS ask the seller for a photograph of matrix of both sides, and check when you recieve the items.

      • Always choose an insured, tracked postage option when the option is available.

      • Open the packaging carefully! Always check your products on receipt, as pressing faults can occur. If you get damaged product contact the seller as soon as possible, do not be put off if the seller asks for photographs of the damage, and possibly the packaging.

  11. Least Favourite Record Shop
    • I am often asked which record stores I wouldn't go back to, or don't recommend people visit. I always answer this question in the same way, "You shoudl make your own choices, What I don't like about a Record Store probably won't be the same as you."

  12. Favourite Record In The Vinyl Vault
    • I can't choose a "Favourite" record that I have in the Vinyl Vault, the reason being is that I am a very 'Moody' listener, by that I mean, dependant on my mood, that decides what I listen too. That said, if you read my Post | Apocalytic Playlist, that has a few of my Regular Listens.
